
Alicia Scott is a seasoned leader in clean energy and sustainability, with a diverse background in finance, public policy, nonprofit management, and environmental justice. She is currently the CEO of Coalitico, a consulting firm specializing in providing strategic guidance and support to philanthropic organizations, nonprofits, and coalitions working to drive meaningful change in public policy systems. With deep expertise in clean energy policy and regulatory engagement, Alicia has been at the forefront of efforts to advance equitable and sustainable energy solutions.
Alicia began her career in the financial services industry working with high net-worth clientele managing the assets of high-net-worth individuals and foundations. She later held executive leadership positions with National Planning Holdings, Pacific Life Insurance, and Countrywide Bank, overseeing advisory divisions responsible for more than $3 billion in assets across a nationwide network of financial professionals.
In 2009, Alicia and her family moved to South Korea, where she demonstrated her leadership by launching the first Family Readiness Group at U.S. Army Garrison Camp Stanley. She also established a charitable giving program between the 8th Army 1st Signal Brigade and the Korean Businessmen’s Chamber, facilitating donations of winter gear and organizing annual soldier meet-and-greet events for Korean orphanages.
After returning to the U.S., Alicia moved to Savannah, Georgia, where she became Senior Partner at Introspect Consulting Group, a public policy and strategic planning firm providing executive counsel to elected officials and non-profit executives. Her passion for political engagement led her to serve as Regional Field Director for Georgia during the Bernie Sanders 2016 Presidential Campaign. In 2018, she ran as a Democratic candidate for Georgia House District 164, furthering her commitment to public service and policy change.
In 2019, Alicia moved to Atlanta to serve as the Executive Director of Launchpad2X, a nonprofit focused on training women entrepreneurs to scale their businesses and secure investment capital. Her dedication to social and environmental justice took center stage in 2020 when she joined the Partnership for Southern Equity as Just Energy Programs Manager, leading efforts to promote equitable energy distribution, clean energy advocacy, and climate justice.
Alicia later served as the Georgia State Director of the U.S. Energy Foundation, where she led the largest coalition of advocacy organizations in Georgia focused on clean energy, climate resilience, and environmental justice. In this role, she provided strategic funding and regulatory engagement support to organizations working to advance equitable energy policies and combat climate change.
Alicia is also a Certified Agile Facilitator, utilizing her expertise in adaptive leadership to drive effective collaboration and policy innovation. A recognized thought leader in clean energy policy and regulatory affairs, she has engaged with state and federal regulators, policymakers, and advocacy groups to shape progressive energy policies.
A TEDx speaker, Alicia delivered a compelling talk on America’s Confederate monuments in 2018. She also wrote and produced the documentary short film, The 4TH Arm, highlighting the often-overlooked work of Black women community organizers.
Alicia holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Maryland and a Master of Arts in Diplomacy and International Commerce from Norwich University. She is a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and serves as a Steering Committee Member for the Southeast Environmental Justice Summit.
