The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine recently published workshop proceedings for their February 2024 workshop, Developing and Assessing Ideas for Social and Behavioral Research to Speed Efficient and Equitable Industrial Decarbonization. This two day workshop sought to “lay the foundation for a national interdisciplinary social sciences research program to support an efficient and equitable clean energy transition in the industrial sector," and featured a presentation by SCoRE's senior director, Jennifer Hirsch, on a co-authored paper commissioned by the National Academies, “The Crucial Role of Just Process for Equitable Industrial Decarbonization: An Action Research Agenda for Carbon Management and Other Emerging Technologies."
