The Southeast Community Energy Futures Academy (SCEFA) is a regional leadership and education initiative carried out as part of Southeast Direct Air Capture Hub project funded by the U.S. Department of Energy and led by the Southern States Energy Board. Led by SCoRE, SCEFA is designed to:

  1. Co-design and deliver practical, action-oriented training on emerging energy transition technologies;
  2. Increase local capacity to engage with these emerging technologies - from research to deployment; and
  3. Develop a sustained community of practice where local leaders and technical experts collaboratively shape the future of the energy transition in the Southeast.
